Have now read 56 books on the list.
Andrea is participating in something called The Big Read. She describes it very eloquently, so I'm sending you to her site 'cause I don't feel like doing all the explanatory links like she did. Basically, it's a list of 100 books put together by the NEA. They estimate that the average American has only read 6 books off of the list.
I love to read and thought I would join her in her challenge to read more books that are on the list. No, not ALL the books, you can just pick 3.
The 3 books I pick for the challenge are:
1. The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time by Mark Haddon (DONE!) pretty good
2. The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom (AND DONE!) made me cry - I'm such a sap...
3. A Confederacy of Dunces by John Kennedy Toole (DONE!) meh. Had heard it was sooo funny, but not enough to suffer through the parts that weren't. It was ok, but I doubt I'll ever read it again.

- Italicize those you intend to read.

Wow. You did great on that list. I think I was with the average at around 6. Oops.
okay, how did you get through high school English class without reading Tale of Two Cities?
WOW! I'm impressed! I thought I was doing pretty well at 38! Although, like you said, there were a few I'm not sure if I've read or not (High School English was a long time ago!)
What are your top three that you are going to read?
Chrissy, if I did read it I don't remember anything about it except the first line: "It was the best of times, it was the worst of times..."
Love this idea...and I really need to do it. I am woefully behind in reading most of the books on this list...I'm impressed with your 51!
You so kicked my tail. I got 17. What a paltry score. I guess I've been challenged. But now who's gonna finish all the crossword puzzles!
